Sunless Tanning Tips

Preparation

  1. EXFOLIATE 24 hours in advance
  2. AVOID bar soap, lotions, perfumes, excess deodorant and make-up
  3. WEAR dark, loose fitting clothing and REMOVE all jewelry

Maintenance

  1. AVOID sweating immediately following
  2. AVOID skin contact with water for at least four hours
  3. AVOID swimming and spas for 24 hours
  4. WAIT 16 hours before you shower and then pat dry
  5. Do not exfoliate or use washcloths
  6. MOISTURIZE excessively after 24 hours

Spray Tanning FAQ

Q: How does a spray tan work?
A: DHA reacts with the skin's amino acids resulting in a "tan" similar to that of the sun.

Q: How light or dark can I get from a spray tan?
A: The darker you can tan naturally, the darker you can tan with a spray tan. We can customize a shade for your skin tone ranging from light to dark.

Q: How long will your tan last?
A: Your spray tan should last 5-10 days, depending on skin type and after care.

Q: What is the aftercare?
A: Please see maintenance instructions above. Hot tub and pool exposure may decrease length of your tan.

Q:What happens if I have allergies?
A: All ingredients used are intended for cosmetic use and generally regarded as safe. Very few individuals may be allergic or skin may not react favorably to one or more ingredients in the tan solution. If this occurs, shower, discontinue use, and contact a physician. Some medications containing hormones or antibiotics can alter your tan.

Q: Does it take multiple sessions to build the tan?
A: The spray tan is instant and you will see the results immediately. Be advised we do NOT advise being sprayed for photographic sessions, weddings, etc. unless you have had a trial spray tan with us.

Q: Does spray tanning protect me from a sunburn?
A: This product does not contain sunscreen or protect against sunburn. Repeated sun exposure may cause skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin.

Q: What do I wear for a spray tan? What ever you are comfortable with.
A: Most people don't wear anything because they do not want tan lines. Some people wear an old swimsuit or underwear.

Q: Is this a booth or does someone spray me?
A: We have airbrush technicians that customize each tan and color. They will be spraying you.
